The Road Development Agency (RDA) is a statutory organisation whose function is to plan, manage and coordinate the road network in Zambia. The Agency is responsible for planning, care, maintenance and construction of public roads in the country. It also regulates the maximum permissible weights on roads, conducts studies for the development, maintenance and improvement of the road network, and reviews road and road infrastructure design standards and classification.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Position<\/h2><\/div>

In order to execute this mandate, the RDA is seeking a vision-driven, strategic and seasoned corporate leader to become the Director and Chief Executive Officer. The individual should be a leader with a balanced combination of road construction, people management and change management orientation. The Director & Chief Executive Officer will have an in-depth understanding of emerging challenges in the road sector, the ability to adapt strategies and solutions to a changing and increasingly complex economic\/ development landscape and be an inspirational champion of the Agency\u2019s core values both internally and externally. The Director and Chief Executive Officer shall act on behalf of the Board of Directors to advance and build on the vision, mission, and implement the strategic direction of the RDA in line with the mandate stipulated in the Public Roads Act No. 12 of 2002 as read with the Public Roads Act (Amendment ) No. 9 of 2022.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Job Purpose<\/h2><\/div>

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Director and Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for leading the Management team through the provision of overall oversight and leadership in the development and achievement of strategic objectives of the Agency.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
