The Road Development Agency (RDA) has installed a footbridge at the section where the approach road to the Luangwa Bridge along the Chama-Matumbo Road in Eastern Province was washed away.

This is a temporary measure aimed restoring connectivity as the Agency has commenced procurement processes for a long-term intervention.

The approach road was washed away on Saturday after the Luangwa River experienced flooding.
