“In line with the approved procurement plan, the Government expects construction works to commence immediately upon the procurement of a qualified works contractor,” Hon. Eng Milupi said in a speech read on his behalf by Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development Permanent Secretary, Professor Albert Malama.

Speaking at the same occasion, BADEA Representative, Mohamed Mustafa said the project was a symbol of BADEA’s strong partnership with Africa.
Mr. Mustafa said the bank’s total projects investments in Zambia stood at US$ 90 million.

A workshop was also held to formally launch the project and orient officers on BADEA procedures for the procurement of goods and services.
