The Road Development Agency (RDA) is rehabilitating the first 29.5 kilometres section of the Monze-Niko Road and upgrading to bituminous standard that last 41.5 kilometres of section of the same road.
The Scope of works required under this project and respective progress is summarized as follows:
Clearing and grubbing – 55.24%;
Road bed preparation – 45.86%;
Mass earthworks – 21.20%;
Pavement layers and – 0%;
Pothole parching and levelling course – 10%;
Surfacing – 0%;
Drainage works – 0%;
Prefabricated culverts – 4%
Structures – 0%;
Ancillary works – 0%;
Emergency works- 12.8%; and
Diversion – 36%.
This progress covers the period from 21st November 2023 to 06th June 2024 and all construction work would be completed within 24 months
